The smell of fresh-cut hay, of leather and oats, the tickling touch of muzzle whiskers on the palm of my hand, the warmth of silky neck fur under a fall of heavy mane on a chilly autumn day.

 

These are just some of the memories of growing up around horses I have cherished.
