An older bull Elephant, from Etosha National Park in Namibia, walks past as if you are looking out a window to see his form pass in front of it. His skin is covered with cracked mud to serve as a sunblock, and his tusks are cracked and broken from use stripping bark, or digging for minerals.

He is cropped in tight to help emphasize his large size.  The details of his skin and texture are in-depth on this painting, created with fine brushwork and subtle early colour.

This original work is painted with oil on cotton canvas and stretched on a deep, exhibition style wood stretcher. The sides are painted to match so he can hang unframed.
