Of all my travels in Africa, one of my fondest subjects are zebra. This beautiful foal comes from a series of black and white photographs I took in Etosha National Park in Namibia. The zebra stands against an ancient Egyptian stone relief which I created from various Egyptian paintings of horses. It is part of my Ancient Tableau Collection which features a selection of canvases that spanned almost 40 paintings.
 
This painting is beautifully framed with a gold fronted, black shadowbox frame.  It was created with oil paint applied in thin layers to build up the surface detail on stretched cotton canvas.
