The incredible prehistoric look of these creatures cannot be ignored. When I created my large Musk Oxen sculpture entitled The Circle, I wanted their long shaggy dreadlock-like hair to play a pivotal role as the wind blew the long coats.
This sculpture is a separate edition of 15, featuring the biggest bull of the family group, on his own as an individual piece.
Patina for this piece is among my favourites, with a gorgeous blend of French Brown, and Silver Nitrate for the more grizzled areas of his hump, forehead, legs and around his eyes and muzzle.
This sculpture is hand cast bronze using the lost wax method. All of my sculptures come with a Certificate of Authenticity in a custom folio.
**If you are purchasing as a gift and the sculpture cannot be ready in time, a custom gift package which includes the folio and certificate as well as a set of images of your ordered sculpture can be given in advance of the sculpture's arrival.
